Summary

- Usage data isn’t linked to your name or email, and you can turn it off in the plugin’s Settings.
- We never see your card details. Our payment provider handles payments.
- No ads, nothing sold.
1. Who we are
MarkupMail, the Figma plugin and markupmail.io, is run by Anmol Kamboj in the United Kingdom. We’re responsible for your personal data as its “data controller”. You can contact us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Your designs: nothing. Your layers, text, images, links and HTML stay on your computer.
- Usage data. Information about how the plugin is used, linked to a random ID rather than to your name or email. It’s on by default. To stop it, untick Share anonymous usage data in the plugin’s Settings.
- Licence keys. If you buy a plan, the plugin checks your key with our payment provider when it opens.
- Purchase details. Our payment provider takes your payment as the seller (merchant of record) and shares your name, email, billing address and what you bought with us. We never see your card details.
- Website traffic. We track website traffic, which uses cookies. It isn’t linked to your name or email.
3. Why we use it
We use usage data to improve MarkupMail, which is our legitimate interest. UK law allows this without asking first, because you can easily turn it off. We use licence and purchase details to provide what you paid for, and to keep the records the law requires.
5. How long we keep it
Usage data for up to 1 year, purchase records for as long as the law requires (usually 6 years), and anything else only as long as we need it.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. Usage data isn’t linked to you, so we can’t look it up by name or email, but turning it off stops any more being sent. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top.
